Big thanks to everyone who was at our show at Massimmo in Takapuna Saturday night! It was great having so much support from everyone. We all had an absolutely amazing night! Even though we were all hard at work back stage the atmosphere out on the cat walk was amazing. The place was packed to the rafters and even though the rain was pouring down, it was great to see such an amazing turnout.
The collection we showed was inspired but the texture and tones of the desert and was called 'Storm in the Desert'. We have had some amazing feedback from the show and are looking forward to getting it to a store near you soon (we are hoping to get it throughout New Zealand as well as into the overseas market).
A Special thank you to our Machinist Extrodinaire, Carmel Donnelly, we could not have done it without you!
‘You know you’ve made it as a fashion designer when you have the celebrities’ clambering for your clobber. And that is exactly what we are up to. Not to talk ourselves up or anything of course.
Check this out, New Zealand Electro band JUST clearly have nothing better to do than laze around in our fabulous ISBIM gears. Just kidding. Being a home grown label, we are always stoked to endorse other local New Zealand artists. JUST have just released their first single ‘Can’t Give Up’ featuring New Zealand hip hop megastar Young Sid. They’ve been picked as Flava FM ‘Fresh Produce’ artist of the month. Look out for their next single ‘Loose Control’. I know I will. O dear.
We went out to Massimo Cafe (our show venue) on Saturday to check it out and it is amazing! We are so excited to be showing there this Saturday. Massimo Cafe definately knows how to put on a good night! Head on down for a complementary glass of bubbly, nibbles and some amazing fashion. Tickets at only $20 from ticketek and should be door sales on the night!
Our hearts and sympathy goes out to all the people of Japan. In such a short time space since the Christchurch earthquake in seems as if we are living in a world that is falling apart. With all this talk of 2012 and climate destruction it’s hard not to feel pessimistic. In times like these, there are only two things we can control as individuals, and it is important to remember them: 1) What we contributing to the situation to make it worse, and 2) What we could possibly be doing to make it better.
In light of it all, it’s also important to remember that miracles do happen. We all strongly believe here which is, of course, the name sake of our label, I Still Believe in Miracles. Even though the world seems quite dark, we need to keep pushing forwards, making the best of what we are given, and still believeing in miracles. God Bless you all.
